Pterynotus hoerlei

Welcome to my Web Site on Fossil Muricidae!

I have been collecting fossil Muricidae since 1989, and currently have over 500 distinct species from 37 different countries and 9 U.S. states.  Most of my figured species from Florida are self-collected. I am constantly looking for new species (and improved quality specimens) from around the world, so if you can help out in any way, please let me know!  I would also appreciate any corrections or clarifications that you can provide concerning the identification or geographic / geologic range of any of the species listed here.  As time goes by, I will be adding more photos, links, and other information to this site.  Thanks for visiting!
